There has been a great improvement to the amenities in our neighborhood. A trail is being built right behind it. This one thing I had always wanted to have nearby, especially since our neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks. I liked the no sidewalks thing when we were newlyweds looking for a house, but that "perk" becomes and problem when you have kids, there is no place for them to play outside of your yard, the street is very dangerous. Even going for a walk, every two minutes you've got to real the kid and the dog in because a car is coming, and usually at mush faster speeds that they should be.
So there is now this great trail, where once we get there we can let Ms. G freely run ahead, Sadie goes off leash and we all get some fresh air and exercise without having to drive someplace to get it.
This story would not be complete without mentioning that this trail has greatly divided our neighborhood. It feels mostly generational, but I am sure that is not completely true. Anyway there is a group of folks that think it will bring more crime to our neighborhood, I don't buy into this so I am very happy it is there for my family.

International Children's Day
Last Friday was International Children's Day at Gigi's school. The children are supposed to dress up to represent a country. Gigi had a Mulan dress that was perfect for her to represent China, which was good, being that this was our first year I did not know what to expect. But apparently this event is a BIG deal, so we did good.

Gigi's Birthday Part 3
Wow it's been a crazy couple of days. This party has been the one I have really been looking forward to. The kids really enjoyed it so it was worth all the preparation. We had thirteen kids, eleven treasure packs, and a moon bounce (thanks to the Kenny's). The kids were great at finding the treasure packs, and it was fun watching them run around to collect the goodies.
Now I am tired. :)

Gigi's Birthday Part 1
Gigi turned four on Friday. So we had the first of four parties for her. This was at school, they have a special ceremony for each child's birthday, which is really nice. The parents come in and talk about each year of the child's life, they sings songs and then the kids get cookies or cupcakes, whatever the parents bring in. We brought cupcakes, next year we will bring cookies. The cupcakes made a big a mess. Oh well the kids had fun.
