Paul's Birthday in Times Square
Wow, I haven't posted here since we went to Orlando. My apologies to those who check in often. What can I say? Life has been very busy, in fact very very busy. Paul has been traveling a lot a so that puts me on single parent duty frequently, along with meeting all the expectations of my position. Things at my job have been great, but also incredibly demanding so it's a juggling act.
This past weekend we took a break. It was Paul's birthday so I planned a surprise trip for him. He knew we were going to travel, but not to where. I picked Times Square. I thought it would be fun to experience. Although now I realize it's not that different than going to Disney World, in fact that is probably a good analogy, Disney World for adults. Just as crowded and with as many, if not more, lights. We had a great time.
The highlight of the trip was Beauty in the Beast on Broadway. I picked this show because with Gigi tagging along we needed to see something that would entertain all three of us. We all really loved the show. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did, I mean we have seen the movie a hundred times. But it was very well done and had a Broadway flair to it, additional scenes, lines and songs. It may have been the best play I've ever seen.
Other than that we spent time wondering around Time Square, we took a carriage ride through Central Park and checked out the view from the top of the Empire State Building.
It was really nice to get away from it all for few days.
